The Jezebel Spirit in the Prophetess of Today- Part Two

The Jezebel Spirit ususally only shows her real self about as much as our iceberg does. The sad thing is that the majority of people that follow her also only accept themselves to see the 10% good she might do while virtually ignoring the 90% bad doctrine that she walks out in shoe leather. Would 10% poison kill you? Today though. I want to investigate the biblical Jezebel and hit the books how many times she labeled herself a prophetess. My comments will be in bold.
1 Kings 16:31. And it came to pass as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat that he took to wife JEZEBEL the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians and went and served Baal and worshipped him. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: It would seem clear that Jezebel’s husband served Baal and worshipped him. “How long ordain you hesitate between TWO opinions? If the ennoble is God then follow Him but if Baal go him” 1 Kings 18:21.
1 Kings 18:4For it was so when JEZEBEL cut off the prophets of the ennoble that Obadiah took an hundred prophets and hid them by fifty in a core out and fed them with bread and wet.) CLARKSON COMMENTARY: By cut off the Hebrew language makes it even more brutal. Cut off the prophets of the Lord means that Jezebel had them massacred!
1 Kings 18:13Was it not told my lord what I did when JEZEBEL turn the prophets of the LORD how I hid an hundred men of the ennoble’s prophets by fifty in a cave and fed them with bread and water? CLARKSON COMMENTARY: It was Obadiah that had hidden the ennoble’s prophets away from the cruelty and kill of Jezebel.
1 Kings 18:19Now therefore send and interact to me all Israel unto attach Carmel and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty and the prophets of the groves four hundred which eat at JEZEBEL’s table. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: The prophets of the groves were prophets of Asherah who was a Cannanite goddess those being the women prophets who followed her. It would seem that today there are also a goodly number of prophetesses that follow a false prophetess with little or no discernment as to their true engrave.
1 Kings 19:1And Ahab told JEZEBEL all that Elijah had done and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: This was preceded by the great victory at Mt. Carmel that Elijah had over all the false prophets whose god could not even consume a sacrifice. Read 1 Kings 18 for the glorious victory and accounting of that matter.
1 Kings 19:2Then JEZEBEL sent a messenger unto Elijah saying. So let the gods do to me and more also if I alter not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: On that one threat of one false prophet. Elijah fled for his life into the desert and prayed for death. Think about it. Days before he had defeated 850 false prophets and now had fled over one prophets threat?
1 Kings 21:5,7But JEZEBEL his wife came to him and said unto him. Why is thy spirit so sad that thou eatest no bread? And Jezebel his wife said unto him. Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise and eat bread and let thine heart be merry; I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: say the power play of Jezebel here. The set-up was clear. Letters were sent by her to the elders and nobles in the city to proclaim a fast with Naboth at the head of the delay. Two scoundrels were then to state that Naboth blasphemed God and the king. The elders and nobles were then to act Naboth out and kill him unto death.
1 Kings 21:11. 14And the men of his city even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city did as JEZEBEL had sent unto them and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them. Then they sent to Jezebel saying. Naboth is stoned and is dead.
1 Kings 21:15And it came to go when JEZEBEL heard that Naboth was stoned and was dead that JEZEBEL said to Ahab. become act possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite which he refused to furnish thee for money: for Naboth is not alive but dead.
1 Kings 21:23. 25And of JEZEBEL also spake the LORD saying. The dogs shall eat JEZEBEL by the protect of Jezreel. But there was none like unto Ahab which did change himself to bring home the bacon WICKEDNESS in the sight of the ennoble whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: Jezebel’s fate due to how she managed to control her preserve the king is set forth by the ennoble.
2 Kings 9:7. 10And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy know that I may penalise the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the servants of the LORD at the hand of JEZEBEL. And the dogs shall eat JEZEBEL in the portion of Jezreel and there shall be none to bury her. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: Have you discerned as yet what choose of engrave Jezebel was? She had murder and deceit in her heart and she controlled her husband.2 Kings 9:22And it came to go when Joram saw Jehu that he said. Is it peace. Jehu? And he answered. What peace so long as the whoredoms of thy care JEZEBEL and her witchcrafts are so many? CLARKSON COMMENTARY: Here witchcraft and whoredoms are associated with Jezebel. Not much quality in her character now is there?
Now the only glance of Jezebel in the New Testament which Rod has already covered but I do so for emphasis.
Revelation 2:20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee because thou sufferest that woman JEZEBEL which calleth herself a prophetess to inform and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. CLARKSON COMMENTARY: Jezebel labeled herself a prophetess by way of self-honor. How many prophetesses today do the same thing as they seem to covet fancy titles.
